Immersive and Educational Curriculum

Children are like sponges and the first 5 years create the foundation for a child to accomplish key development advances. During these years, the brain undergoes its most dramatic growth. Language blossoms, basic motor abilities advance, thinking starts to become more complex, and social/emotional development enables the child to begin to understand his own feelings and those of others.

Our programs include various opportunities for children to explore and express themselves, while encouraging learning through play. Our curriculum is unique in its approach of individual learning, our staff places great emphasis in that all children learn differently, and we take pride in our ability to provide a hands-on approach, and individual attention to each child’s need. The curriculum at Vamonos includes enrichment programs such as sign language for infants, babies who can read, baby yoga and massage, fitness, music, soccer; all designed to encourage a wide variety of interests.

Most importantly, Vamonos provides the first and only bilingual immersion program in the area, which encourages children and their families to embrace the Spanish language and culture. Our classrooms provide a dual language curriculum that allows children to learn Spanish by introducing the language and culture naturally in their environment, allowing them to acquire the language seamlessly.

Teacher Vamonos

Infants/Young Toddlers (6 Weeks – two years)

Choosing a childcare environment for your infant is very important. Vamonos is a place where your child can blossom into a happy, carefree baby. Our infant room has been specially designed to create a warm and secure environment for infants. We cultivate the teacher-child bond in order to build a sense of confidence and trust in the child. Senses are developing at this time, and sensory activities are incorporated into our curriculum. From peaceful sleeping environments, rocking chairs, and stimulating play areas, rest assure your baby is in good hands.

  • Play areas with toys and books to stimulate exploration and development at their individual pace.
  • Teachers spend a lot of time nurturing the babies in the infant room. Rocking, cuddling and bottle feeding are important in instilling trust and providing a healthy environment.
  • Teachers sing songs and read stories to encourage language acquisition while also playing an important part in helping babies learn how to express their feelings and needs.

Young Toddlers (two years to three years)

Toddlers are so fun to have around! They are making developmental strides and are so proud of their achievements. From their first steps and falls, to potty training, our teachers are there to support your toddler every step of the way. Keeping up with a toddler can be exhausting, but our energetic teachers plan activities in a bright and cheery learning environment that encourages the toddler’s curiosity and exploration. There are many ways for a toddler to learn. Children need to see, feel, and touch things around them in order to fully engage in learning. Children at this age also need consistency.

Teachers at Vamonos provide routines and ease the children through transitions of activities. A balance of high-energy activities, music and movement, and plenty of outdoor fun are part of our everyday curriculum. We also immerse our children in reading. Our rooms have ample supply of books and quiet areas where children can engage in their reading of choice. The toddler language is best known as the language of song. We capture their interest by singing and exercising; they are having fun while learning!

  • Our toddler rooms are a perfect fit for any growing toddler. We provide different centers for toddlers to explore and choose their areas of interest. Imaginary play, blocks and puzzles, creative art, sensory areas, books, and many more are always open for the curious toddler.
  • Toddlers need routine. Part of our everyday curriculum includes circle time. This gives toddlers the opportunity to participate in group activities, practice turn-taking, and develop their social growth and language skills. This is also a fun time for toddlers to share their voice. They proudly share their stories and teachers are readily available to answer all their favorite questions.
  • Self-help skills are facilitated at this age. They are beginning to explore their independence and at Vamonos we love to hear the proud tone behind “I can do it”. Toddlers practice their self-help skills such as hand washing, teeth brushing, putting on coats, cleaning up their toys, and sharing with their peers.
  • Vamonos encourages developmentally appropriate gross and fine motor skills and facilitate these by offering plenty of opportunities to practice by balancing, skipping, tip toeing, using crayons, markers, and more.

Older Toddlers/Preschoolers (three to four years)

Preschoolers at this age are becoming more aware of their strengths and interests. Vamonos classrooms are bright and engaging. We proudly display all of preschoolers’ achievements. As we start the year, you’ll see ceilings and walls eagerly waiting to display preschoolers’ art work. Our playgrounds and learning centers provide environments where preschoolers engage in age-appropriate activities within our monthly curriculums. At this age, preschoolers are introduced to more intricate levels of math, science, and technical centers, as well as music, art, and imaginative centers. We provide opportunities for children to self-guide through various activities throughout the centers and allowing them to explore and make mistakes while encouraging problem solving. Allowing children to try things out on their own and showing them you trust them reiterates the early stepping stones needed to strive throughout situations that may not be so easy to surpass throughout their growth.

As children get closer to entering kindergarten, our program incorporates preparedness for this big step in their learning path. We offer a balanced daily schedule where preschoolers have an evolving opportunity for independent discovery, cooperative learning, and plenty of physical activities and outdoor playtime.

Before/After School Care: (Kindergarten and up | Transportation to and from School Available)

Our program provides a supervised, safe and structured environment for kids before and after school. Our before school program allows parents to jump start their day knowing their kids will be taken to school safely and in a timely matter. Our after school program features all the necessary time to complete homework supervised by a teacher.

Our goal is that children finish their homework assignments at Vamonos, giving families more time to spend together at home. For those areas of struggle, teachers spend a greater period of time tutoring children and helping them get through those difficult subjects.

Our teachers communicate directly with your child’s school teacher to ensure we are providing the most effective assistance after school. Transportation is provided to and from schools, in accordance to school’s schedules (including holidays and early dismissals).
